Explosion in fireworks plant in Andhra's Anakapalli, 8 workers killed
According to police, an explosion at a fireworks manufacturing facility in the Anakapalli region of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday claimed the lives of at least eight workers. N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister, said he was shocked by the occurrence and that all of the injured were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
"The fire accident claimed the lives of eight people, including two women, and injured seven more," Home Minister V Anitha told PTI. She stated that information is still pending but that the injured are being moved to hospitals here. According to an official, the CM gave Anitha and district officials instructions to guarantee that the injured received better medical care.
Similar events occurred earlier this month in Gujarat's Banaskantha district, when authorities said a blast at a firecracker factory resulted in a fire and the collapse of portions of the structure, killing seven people. The event happened at the facility close to the town of Deesa.
