Congress leader Bajwa intended to disturb peace in Punjab with ‘50 bombs’ remark: FIR

Partap Singh Bajwa, the Congress MLA and leader of the opposition, was charged on Sunday with giving false information with the goal to disturb peace by stating that 50 explosives had arrived in the border state, according to Punjab Police women constable Taranpreet Kaur's complaint.

In her complaint, Punjab Police Mohali social media cell operator Constable Taranpreet Kaur claimed that she discovered the offensive Facebook post while browsing through social media posts and websites as part of her cyber monitoring responsibilities. Partap Singh Bajwa, the opposition leader, stated in an interview and statement included in this piece that 50 grenades had arrived in Punjab, of which 18 had already been detonated and 32 were still to be detonated throughout the state.

The FIR stated, "It is clear from the interview's contents that Bajwa failed to identify the potential targets for the grenades or the source of this information." She claimed that he meant to upset the peace and quiet of the public by making such a statement, inciting fear, animosity, and hostility between various communities.
