Man Who Kidnapped, Murdered Girl In Karnataka Killed In "Encounter"
Bengaluru: Authorities reported today that a guy who allegedly abducted and murdered a five-year-old girl in Hubballi, Karnataka, was slain in a run-in with the law. According to them, a police officer was hurt during the operation. After being apprehended, the accused, 35-year-old Nitesh Kumar, attacked a police team and attempted to flee after being warned with a warning shot, according to officials.
A charge of rape and murder under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act was also brought against the man. "The Bihar city of Patna is the hometown of Nitish Kumar. He attacked the police crew as they were transporting him to his residence to determine his identity, Hubballi police chief Shashi Kumar informed reporters.
He also destroyed a police car in the process. In the meantime, he attempted to flee as one of the policemen fired into the air. He was hit by two additional shots. According to the Hubballi police chief, he was rushed to the hospital right away, where the physicians pronounced him dead. The offender was shot twice by Sub-inspector Annapurna, who then apprehended him again with the help of the police team.
