'BSF paid rioters': Mamata Banerjee blames BJP for Murshidabad violence
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, made a shocking accusation on Wednesday, saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), certain central agencies, and members of the Border Security Forces were responsible for the recent communal violence in Murshidabad over the Waqf Amendment Act.
Banerjee accused the BJP of inciting tensions by permitting cross-border infiltration from Bangladesh before to the disturbance in some areas of West Bengal while speaking to a gathering of Muslim religious leaders in Kolkata. "I read in the news that the unrest in Murshidabad was caused by forces from beyond the border. Doesn't the BSF have a duty to protect the border?
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is in charge of the BSF. The international boundary is not protected by the state government. The central government is unable to avoid accountability. By hiring local youngsters to throw stones during the unrest, I shall discover who the BSF had funded in the border areas," the CM declared.
