Prashant Kumar joins Zelestra India as head of financial operations

Zelestra India, a provider of renewable energy solutions, said on Thursday that Prashant Kumar has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with immediate effect. According to the company's announcement, Kumar will oversee all financial operations for India and report to Sajay K V, the CEO. He will prioritize enhancing financial control, advancing strategic planning, and maximizing capital efficiency to support business expansion.

The CEO stated that the appointment coincides with Zelestra's ongoing efforts to improve its market position. "The business is expanding daily. With three significant projects under development this year, we currently have a pipeline of wind, solar, and BESS technologies totaling more over 5 GW. Because of this rapid expansion, we require a strong senior leadership group to make sure we can meet all of the challenges that lie ahead. Thus, we are pleased to have Prashant join the Zelestra India team," he stated.

With over twenty years of expertise in financial operations, fund management, capital raising, and project financing, Kumar holds a postgraduate degree in management from XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar). Senior financial leadership roles with Fortum India Private Limited, Tata Power Solar, Lanco Solar, and IndusInd Bank are among his experiences in high-growth industries.
