13 killed in explosion at firecracker factory in Gujarat's Banaskantha

According to officials cited by PTI, an explosion at a firecracker factory in an industrial area of Gujarat's Banaskantha district on Tuesday claimed the lives of at least 13 people. The event happened in a unit close to the town of Deesa. Four people are hurt, but their conditions are stable.

According to Banaskantha collector Mihir Patel, the entire RCC slab collapsed as a result of the explosion that happened at the facility at approximately 9:45 a.m. Thirteen bodies have been recovered from the factory's debris thus far. The entire RCC slab had given way. The collector stated, "The relief teams are clearing the debris." "The conditions of the four individuals hurt in this incident are stable. Police continue their inquiry, and the FSL team requests more research.

According to Sub Divisional Magistrate Neha Panchal, a portion of the building fell and a fire broke out at the scene, trapping multiple persons. According to Akshayraj Makwana, the superintendent of police for Banaskantha, efforts are being made to rescue anyone who may be buried behind debris. To support operations, a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team was also on the scene.
