Army facilitates mobile connectivity across Ladakh region including Galwan, Siachen Glacier
Srinagar According to officials on Saturday, the Army has made it possible for troops stationed in some of the most hostile areas of the world, such as Siachen Glacier and Galwan, to stay in touch with their loved ones by providing dependable high-speed mobile access throughout the Ladakh region.
According to Army officials, the Indian Army has enabled previously unheard-of mobile connectivity throughout the high-altitude and remote regions of Ladakh, including forward locations in eastern, western, and Siachen Glacier regions, marking a revolutionary step towards closing the digital divide and empowering isolated communities.
They claimed that troops stationed in some of the most hostile regions on earth, including DBO, Galwan, Demchok, Chumar, Batalik, Dras, and the Siachen Glacier, now had dependable 4G and 5G mobile communication for the first time. According to the officials, this program has been a huge morale boost for soldiers stationed at remote winter cut-off stations at elevations above 18,000 feet, enabling them to maintain relationships with their loved ones.
