Mustafabad building collapse: 3 more rescued, survivor count reaches 18

There are now 18 survivors after three more were pulled from the wreckage of a multi-story building that collapsed in the Mustafabad neighborhood of Delhi on Saturday. Rescue efforts are ongoing, but at least four people have perished in the tragedy, and several more are thought to be trapped. Three youngsters and an elderly mother have been rescued thus far.

Rescue efforts to rescue people trapped in the fallen building are being led by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Delhi Police also joined the hunt for survivors under the rubble on Saturday morning. The structure collapses as a cloud of dust spreads around the region in the CCTV footage of the tragedy.

About 12 persons were suspected to be trapped beneath the debris, NDRF DIG Mohsen Shahidi had earlier told ANI. Even if that number has now dropped, there is still a limited amount of time to save the remaining survivors.
