He further stated that his brother, an army officer, saved the lives of approximately 40 individuals by leading them to safety.
"Another survival story from the polluted Baisaran valley near Pahalgam. We overcame the terror to portray the story of what can only be defined as a terrible act, painting the heavenly beauty blood-red with hellfire. By the grace of God, luck, and fast thinking on the part of an Army officer saved not just our lives, but the lives of another 35-40 individuals that day. Here's how things went for us that day," Prasanna Kumar Bhat wrote on X.
He recalls hearing the initial two gunshots, followed by "a pin drop silence" as everyone tried to figure out what had happened. He stated that within moments, he and his family noticed two dead laying, and his brother "knew immediately that this was a terrorist attack."
