Omar slams Pakistan's ‘neutral’ probe offer on Pahalgam attack: 'They didn't even…'
On Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah slammed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's request for a "neutral" probe into the Pahalgam terror attack, claiming Pakistan initially rejected the incident and instead blamed India.
"They (Pakistan) initially refused to recognize that anything had happened at Pahalgam. Instead, they were the first to claim that India engineered it. Now that those who initially accused us have made statements, it is difficult to say anything else. I don't want to respond to their remarks. "What happened was very unfortunate and should not have happened," Omar told journalists.
Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated on Saturday that Pakistan was willing to facilitate a "neutral and transparent" probe into the deaths of 26 persons in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
