India Pakistan news live: As tensions rise, the CRPF halts transfers and postpones trainings
India Live news from Pakistan: Due to escalating tensions with Pakistan, the CRPF has postponed all posting and transfer orders as well as its personnel's training sessions, according to officials cited by PTI on Friday. About 2,400 members from more than two dozen CRPF companies have been sent to Jammu and Kashmir to assist the Army and BSF in maintaining border security.
Because of the changing security scenario on India's northern and western borders, the CRPF headquarters has ordered that all postings and transfers be halted and that personnel stay where they are.
Troops planned training sessions have been rescheduled for June, and orders have been issued to keep personnel at their deployment locations in order to manage any situations and prevent needless relocation. In light of the growing confrontation with Pakistan, the Union Home Ministry has also instructed the CRPF and other central armed police forces to cancel all leaves and guarantee maximum troop availability.
