Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday afternoon to discuss the state's security preparations. According to Patel, the prime minister asked for specifics of Gujarat's border state readiness and the measures implemented to ensure the safety of its residents in vulnerable areas like Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, and Jamnagar.

In a meeting with CDS General Anil Chauhan and the leaders of the three military forces, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also conducted a thorough assessment of the national security situation.
