Live updates on Operation Sindoor: The day following the action on the terror installations in Pakistan, the center briefs all-party leaders

Live updates on Operation Sindoor: In retribution for the Pahalgam terror incident, which claimed 26 lives on April 22, the Indian military launched precision attacks against terrorist facilities at nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Wednesday. Operation Sindoor, the code name for the mission, ran from 1.04 until 1.30 in the morning. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri gave a briefing on Operation Sindoor.

Misri stated that even after two weeks, Pakistan has taken "no demonstrable step" to take action against terrorist infrastructure in its controlled territory, making it imperative to bring the perpetrators and planners of the Pahalgam attack to trial. In Bahawalpur, the Indian military targeted nine terror camps: Sawai Nala Camp in Muzaffarabad, Syedna Belal Camp, Gulpur Camp, Abbas Camp, Barnala Camp, Sarjal Camp, Mehmoona Joya Camp, Markaz Taiba, and Markaz Subhan.

The Pakistan Army used heavy artillery and mortar firing on forward communities along the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K shortly after the missile attacks, killing a soldier and at least 12 civilians. Pakistan has every right to respond, "befittingly to this act of war imposed by India," according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Pakistani military, he continued, "knows very well how to deal with the enemy." However, if it de-escalates the situation, Islamabad is prepared to "wrap up" tensions with New Delhi, according to Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.
