CM in Gorakhpur, Deputy CM in Lucknow lead Yoga Day events
International Yoga Day was celebrated with great fervor across Uttar Pradesh, with participation from political leaders to common citizens. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak took part in an event organized by BJP's Scheduled Caste Morcha at Ambedkar Park in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Senior leaders including BJP’s Neeraj Singh, MLC Mukesh Sharma, and Sangathan Mantri Dharmpal Singh also attended.
In line with CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the Urban Development Department has developed over 100 yoga parks across urban bodies in the state, offering all necessary facilities for yoga and wellness activities.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of physical health, saying that a healthy body is essential to achieving one's dreams. He called yoga a spiritual tradition rooted in ancient scriptures and urged citizens to adopt it as a way of life.
Events were held across institutions, including a special yoga session at Lucknow University and one at the Nagar Nigam office, where the Mayor, Municipal Commissioner, officers, and staff participated actively.
