Delhi schools receive fresh bomb threats, 10 institutions in 3 days

At least five schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, marking the third consecutive day of such threats, police said. Among the institutions targeted were St. Thomas School in Dwarka, which also received a similar threat the day before, as well as Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate.

All the threats claimed that explosive materials had been planted on the premises. While police have declared the emails as hoaxes, thorough searches were conducted at each site as part of standard security protocol. Teams from Delhi Police, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, the Delhi Fire Service, and the Special Cell were swiftly deployed. Students who had already arrived were evacuated, and their families were promptly informed.

A senior police officer confirmed that over the past three days, around 10 schools and one college in the city have received similar threats. On Tuesday, St. Thomas School and St. Stephen’s College were evacuated following threat emails, both later confirmed as false alarms. Monday’s threats targeted Navy School in Chanakyapuri, CRPF School in Dwarka, and another school in Rohini.

Authorities continue to investigate the source of these repeated hoax emails, while security remains on high alert across educational institutions in the capital.
