More CRPF companies to be deployed in J&K: Report

Srinagar, July 16: To bolster security in Jammu and Kashmir, additional CRPF companies are expected to be deployed across the union territory in the coming hours, sources told News18. These troops will assist in maintaining law and order, manning checkpoints (nakas), and conducting frisking and search operations, while also being prepared to respond to any potential attacks.

According to sources, preliminary internal communication about the deployment has already been issued, and a formal order is likely to follow soon. A senior official confirmed that the region is expected to undergo strategic security adjustments, with the deployment aimed at strengthening coordination with local police forces in sensitive districts.
