Army deploys chopper in daring Rajouri river rescue, saves stranded man's life

In a dramatic rescue operation, the Indian Army, alongside the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local police, and civilian divers, successfully saved a minor boy trapped in the middle of the flooded Rajouri river.

The incident followed intense rainfall that caused the river’s water levels to rise rapidly. Stranded on a rock amid the torrent, the boy had no means of escape as the current grew stronger.

Acting swiftly, local authorities launched a joint rescue operation. Due to the critical nature of the situation, the Indian Army deployed a helicopter to assist. In a coordinated effort, the team bravely airlifted the boy from the raging waters.

Despite heavy rain and dangerous currents, the mission was completed successfully. The child is safe and under medical supervision.

Rajouri District Magistrate Abhishek Sharma praised the efforts, saying, “They are risking their own lives and saving others. All teams worked together to ensure we saved him at all costs.”

The operation has been hailed as a powerful example of inter-agency cooperation and the dedication of India’s emergency response forces.
