Mark Zuckerberg reportedly crashed Donald Trump's Oval Office meeting and was asked to leave, per sources

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Reportedly Asked to Leave Trump’s Oval Office Meeting — White House Denies Claims

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was reportedly asked to leave a meeting in the Oval Office with then-U.S. President Donald Trump and top military officials, according to a recent NBC News report. The alleged incident, which occurred during a high-level discussion on the Air Force’s next-generation fighter jet program, raised concerns among military leaders due to Zuckerberg’s lack of proper security clearance.

Sources told NBC that officials were “shocked” and “unnerved” when Zuckerberg unexpectedly entered the room. One participant reportedly described the atmosphere as resembling a “bizarro world.” Due to the sensitive nature of the conversation, Zuckerberg was asked to step outside and wait.

However, a senior White House official later contradicted the report, telling the Daily Mail that the incident was “mischaracterized.” According to the official, Zuckerberg had only “popped in to say hello at the President’s request” and then left as scheduled before his separate meeting with Trump began.

Zuckerberg’s relationship with the political establishment has evolved over time. Once seen as a supporter of Democratic and pro-immigration causes, he has in recent years shown support for the MAGA movement. He was even present at Trump’s presidential inauguration alongside other tech billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk—though Musk has since distanced himself from Trump following a public falling-out.

The timing and details of the Oval Office incident remain unclear, but the conflicting reports highlight the ongoing scrutiny of Zuckerberg’s political ties and presence in national affairs.
