Son of Sardaar 2 Review: Unneeded But Fun Ajay Devgn Sequel
Ajay Devgn returns as the turbaned action hero in this surprise sequel nobody demanded, delivering exactly what you'd expect – over-the-top fight sequences, cringe-y punchlines, and nostalgic 90s-style melodrama. While the plot (a convoluted land dispute in Punjab) feels like a dated TV serial, Devgn's deadpan swagger and Sanjay Mishra's comic timing make it bearable. The film works best when it stops pretending to have a story and leans into its absurdity (see: a tractor chase with CGI bulls).
Verdict: 2.5/5
✔ For: Die-hard Devgn fans, so-bad-it's-good lovers
✖ Against: Anyone seeking logic or originality
Best enjoyed with zero expectations and a tub of popcorn.
