TCS also restructures its personnel for the AI era, following Accenture
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is overhauling its personnel in an apparent attempt to better align itself with an increasingly AI-driven world, following Accenture Plc. In an effort to restructure its workforce, TCS is providing severance pay of up to two years to workers whose abilities no longer meet the demands of the business. Depending on how long the person has been employed by the IT services company, this includes a severance payment that can range from six months to two years' income, in addition to the three-month notice period pay.
A more straightforward plan with a notice term of just three months is being provided to employees who have been "on the bench" for more than eight months. Additionally, TCS offers career transition help and, in certain pertinent instances, early retirement choices to employees with more than 15 years of service.
"In keeping with the values of our company, those affected by our recent initiative to realign skills have been provided care and support as is due to them in each of the individual circumstances." During post-earnings call on September 25, 2025, Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, the largest IT services company in the world, stated, "We are reinventing what we sell, what we sell, how we deliver, how we partner, and how we operate." "We have extended our collaborations. One of our main strategies is to upskill our re-inventors.
