5 Pakistani jets were shot down during India's Operation Sindoor, including F-16 and JF-17: IAF chief refutes Shehbaz Sharif

The Indian Air Force reaffirmed on Friday that during Operation Sindoor in May, the military shot down five Pakistani aircraft. Days after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif misrepresented the facts of India's military operation in his UN speech, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh reiterated the assertion. According to reports, the IAF commander stated during his remarks at the 93rd Air Force Day festivities that India shot down five F-16 and JF-17 fighter jets belonging to Pakistan.

Highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor, which involved hitting targets and pausing action, the Air Force on Friday urged other countries to take a cue from India.
