Global Companies turn to Bengaluru for remote AI talent as hiring surges: Report
As international companies increasingly look for talent in India, including those from the US, UK, Singapore, Sweden, Germany, and Canada, Bengaluru, Karnataka, has emerged as the fourth most sought-after city in the Asia-Pacific region for remote artificial intelligence (AI)-related jobs, according to an Economic Times report that cited data from global HR company Deel.
They are employing Indians for remote, full-time, contract, and freelance positions because it almost cuts expenses because there are no immigration issues.
The survey also projects that by 2027, the demand for AI expertise in India will more than double, from 600,000 in 2022 to over 1,250,000. For example, hiring from India increased by 135% in the US in 2024, whereas remote hiring from India increased by 50% in Germany and Singapore.
