JPMorgan's Return-to-Office Policy Leaves Employees Anxious, Workers Unite on WhatsApp

Employees at JPMorgan have banded together on WhatsApp to express their opinions over the bank's proposed return to office (RTO) policy. According to the American financial news website Business Insider, the bank urged its hybrid-mode staff to reinstate a 5-day-in-office policy in January of this year, and almost 100 employees created a WhatsApp group in response.

According to reports, the policy went into effect on March 3 and has caused anxiety among employees for a number of reasons, including the attendance tracking system and the repercussions for failing to achieve performance-related goals. Some members of the unofficial WhatsApp support group have voiced worries that their productivity and working hours may not be accurately documented, putting them in danger of losing their jobs. Some believe that the attendance tracking system and RTO policy are overly strict.
