After a house in Chennai was broken into, Savukku Shankar claims that the police were involved, leaving the family terrified.

On Monday, a group of roughly 20 individuals in sanitary worker costumes broke into the home of controversial Tamil YouTuber Savukku Shankar in Chennai's Kilpauk neighborhood. Kamala, his 68-year-old mother, who was by herself at home, complained to the police that the intruders had left "sewage and human feces" at their house. They allegedly assured her, "Now we have stopped with this," before they left. We'll burn you inside the house the next time.

Savukku Shankar charged that the Commissioner of Police and the Greater Chennai Police were involved in the attack.

Sources told India Today that Shankar's alleged disparaging comments about sanitation personnel in one of his YouTube videos upset the intruders.
