Amidst controversy around the 'Rohit Sharma fat' comment, a Congress representative shares an old Kangana Ranaut post.

Congress national spokesperson Shama Mohamed has responded to criticism of her comments labeling Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma "fat" by bringing up an old post by Bollywood star and current BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. Ranaut can be seen disparaging cricket players in the post.

Following her comments regarding Rohit Sharma's fitness, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya responded with the hashtag #JustAsking. "Congress and TMC should leave sportspersons alone as they are fully capable of handling their professional lives," Mansukh Madaviya remarked, expressing displeasure of Shama's comments, which were supported by Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy.

"It is not only extremely dishonorable but also blatantly pitiful when leaders of these parties engage in body shaming and cast doubt on an athlete's position on the squad. Such remarks undercut the sacrifices and hard effort that our athletes put in to represent their nation internationally," he continued.
