'Apologise for low-level comedy': CM Fadnavis, dy Ajit Pawar slam Kunal Kamra for joke on Eknath Shinde
In response to the controversy over comedian Kunal Kamra's purported comments against his deputy Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that satire is acceptable as long as it doesn't offend anyone. Additionally, he insisted that Kamra issue an apology for his "low-level comedy."
Additionally, Fadnavis said that the right to free speech cannot be abused. The true Sena leader was chosen by the public in 2024. "Kamra needs to say sorry for his crude humor. Satire is acceptable as long as it doesn't offend anyone, he continued.
"Kamra should be aware of the fact that people of Maharashtra have decided who is gaddar (traitor) and khuddar (self-respecting), and it is Shinde ji who is taking Balasaheb Thackeray's legacy forward," the chief minister said, denouncing Kamra's alleged remarks as "wrong" and declaring that such acts cannot be tolerated.
