Bengaluru: Auto-rickshaw caught between two BMTC buses, driver and passenger dead
In a traffic accident on Banashankari's 80 Feet Road, a Bengaluru autorickshaw driver and his passenger perished when their vehicle became wedged between two BMTC buses. The car lost control while traveling downhill at a fast speed and collided with a bus at Girinagar, close to Seetha Circle.
The victims have been identified as 80-year-old Dr. Vishnu Bhapat and autorickshaw driver Anil Kumar. K.P. Agrahara inhabitant Anil Kumar shared a home with his spouse and two kids. A day before the disaster, Dr. Bhapat had celebrated his 80th birthday. When his son learned of his father's death, he was returning to the United States after traveling from overseas for the event.
Both Anil Kumar and Dr. Bhapat died instantly as a result of the collision's deadly impact. Traffic in the region was severely disrupted by the accident. Local authorities and Banashankari traffic police showed up for an examination.
