By the end of March, GE will deliver the first of 99 F-404 engines for Tejas MK 1A

In order to complete the 99-engine deal worth USD 716 million in 2021, GE is planned to supply 20 engines annually, with 12 engines anticipated in 2025.

Delhi, New Delhi: Despite concerns about trade tariffs between the US and India, there has been progress on the security front.

This month, after a two-year contractual delay, US aviation engine manufacturer GE is anticipated to deliver the first of 99 GE-404 engines to HAL.

Tejas Mark 1-A fighters are powered by the eagerly anticipated GE-404 engines, whose delivery delays have raised serious concerns inside the Indian Air Force (IAF)
