Delhi: Elderly woman duped of jewellery worth ₹4 lakhs, three arrested
According to an official on Sunday, three gang members have been taken into custody by the Delhi Police for allegedly defrauding an elderly woman and taking her ₹4 lakh worth of jewelry. According to the police, the defendants were members of the "gaddi gang" and were identified as Prem (age 22), Rahul (age 25), and Poonam (age 35).
Four individuals approached an elderly woman in a market on February 19, according to authorities. They persuaded her to give up her jewelry by displaying bundles of counterfeit money. According to police, the woman gave the accused jewelry valued at ₹4 lakh in exchange for fake money. After that, she went to the police. According to the officer, a formal complaint was filed and an investigation was started.'
To find the accused, the crew analyzed video from more than 100 CCTV cameras spread over a 10-kilometer path. According to the officer, police are questioning the three suspects, who were taken into custody from various locations, to ascertain whether they were involved in any other similar crimes.
