"Disqualify" Allahabad High Court Judge: Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Shiv Sena UBT MP, writes to the CJI on the "misguided" rape verdict
Shiv Sena UBT Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna to request that Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra, who issued the Allahabad High Court's decision that merely grabbing the breast and severing the string of a "pyjama" does not constitute rape, be disqualified from the position.
The Allahabad High Court stated in the aforementioned statements that such an offense is classified as assault or the use of criminal force against any woman with the purpose of forcing her to undress or strip.
Two people challenged the judgment of a Special Judge of Kasganj, who summoned them under Section 376 of the IPC in addition to other provisions, and Mishra issued an order on their revision appeal.
