Eknath Shinde and Kunal Kamra's dispute LIVE: Politicians argue about Kamra's comments

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra continues to face heat over his jibe at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The Mumbai Police on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) issued a notice to the stand-up comedian for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Mr. Shinde.

The 36-year-old stand-up comedian kicked up a major political storm in Maharashtra by performing a parody of a popular Hindi song, apparently referring to Mr. Shinde as a “ gaddar” (traitor).

He also made jokes about recent political developments in the State, including the Shiv Sena and NCP splits.
