Glorification of invaders amounts to treason: CM Yogi in Bahraich

Lucknow: In the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, chief minister Yogi Adityanath declared Thursday that glorifying the ruthless invaders is tantamount to treason.

Speaking at a gathering in Tehseel Mihinpurwa (Motipur), Yogi continued, "Maraj Suheldev's courage and valor ensured that no foreign invader dared to attack India for 150 years." Glorifying any invader strengthens the basis for treason; an independent India cannot tolerate a traitor who disparages India's great men or exalts those invaders who destroyed our faith or stomped on India's ancient culture.

This comes after at least 30 members of the police and fire department, including three deputy commissioner of police (DCP) rank officials, were hurt in a massive burning, vandalism, and stone-throwing event that occurred between two groups in Nagpur on March 17.
