Harbhajan Singh Modifies Position on AAP's Bulldozer Policy in Punjab Following Party Leader Rebukes
Harbhajan Singh, AAP Rajya Sabha MP and former cricketer, initially opposed the Punjab government’s bulldozer policy targeting illegal structures linked to drug peddlers, advocating for arrests and rehabilitation instead of demolitions.
However, after criticism from party leaders, including Somnath Bharti, Singh reversed his stance on March 19, declaring full support for the AAP government and Punjab Police's actions under the Yudh Nashian Virudh (War Against Drugs) campaign.
This initiative, launched on February 28, has already resulted in the demolition of over two dozen illegal structures allegedly tied to the drug trade. Singh emphasized that the campaign is a crucial step toward eradicating drug abuse in Punjab and ensuring a drug-free future for the state.
