High security at Aurangzeb tomb in Sambhajinagar after Hindu outfit's ‘Babri-like fate’ threat

Strong security has been put in place around Aurangzeb's tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, amid Hindu organizations Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, who fear a "Babri Masjid-like fate" if the state government does not dismantle the structure.

Security personnel were seen stationed at the Aurangzeb tomb on Monday. Bajrang Dal members also staged protest in front of Nagpur District Collector's office on Monday over their demand to remove Aurangzeb's tomb.

Nitin Mahajan, the leader of the Bajrang Dal, called for the dismantling of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's monument at Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, on Sunday. He warned that the tomb would suffer the same fate as the Babri Masjid if the government does nothing.
