Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara states, "We are taking the Hampi rape case very seriously."

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that the State government was treating the alleged rape of two women, including an Israeli national, in Hampi seriously and that multiple arrests had been made.

"We have taken the incident very seriously. We have sent senior police officers to the scene. Many people have already been arrested. The IG has already gone there, and the superintendent of police will form the team," stated Parameshwara.

Koppal Police reported on Saturday that three males are accused of raping two women, one of whom is Israeli, on the evening of March 6 in the Vijayanagara district of Karnataka, close to the Hampi heritage site.
