Kunal Kamra controversy LIVE: BMC team at gig venue with hammers, 11 Sena youth workers held

Kamra Kunal Live Controversy News: During a comedy show on Sunday, comedian Kunal Kamra made remarks that infuriated fans of Maharashtra's deputy chief minister, Eknath Shinde. The comedy club in Khar, Mumbai, where Kamra was playing was stormed by Shiv Sena chief supporters, who vandalized the venue and threatened to "teach him a lesson."

Without mentioning Eknath Shinde by name, Kamra allegedly labeled him a "rickshawallah" and a traitor who had "stolen someone's father" in a parody song, ostensibly referring to the 2022 split within the Shiv Sena party. Eleven members of the Shiv Sena youth organization who attacked the Khar comedy club were taken into custody by police. Rahul Kanal, Shrikant Sarmalkar, and 17 other people whose identities are yet unknown were also the targets of a formal complaint.

"No one should go beyond the law and the Constitution," stated Ajit Pawar, a fellow deputy chief minister, in response to the incident. One should communicate in moderation. Although there may be differences of opinion, caution must be exercised to prevent the police department from having to step in because of what they have said.
