PM Modi Tamil Nadu visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu on April 6, 2025, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
During this visit, he will offer prayers at the renowned Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram and inaugurate the new Pamban Bridge, a significant infrastructure project aimed at enhancing rail connectivity to this major Hindu pilgrimage site.
The bridge, designed to facilitate maritime navigation with its vertical lift span, replaces the old Pamban Bridge and is expected to improve access for millions of devotees visiting the temple annually. This visit also comes amid ongoing discussions about potential alliances with the AIADMK party, as political dynamics in the state evolve ahead of upcoming elections. Modi's engagement in Tamil Nadu underscores the BJP's strategic focus on strengthening its presence in southern India while addressing local concerns through infrastructure development and religious sentiments.
