Siddaramaiah says, "We have to survive," and suggests a 100% pay increase for himself, ministers, and MLAs.
Citing "rising expenditures and the need for the lawmakers to survive," Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has suggested a 100% pay increase for himself, his Cabinet members, and MLAs.
The Karnataka Legislature Members' Salaries, Pensions, and Allowances (Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Karnataka Ministers' Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Bill 2025 proposed a 100% pay increase for the chief minister, MLAs, and ministers.
It is probable that bills to increase the pay of ministers, MLAs, and the chief minister would be presented before the assembly.
