Today's Women's Day ceremony will mark the introduction of Delhi's Mahila Samriddhi Scheme.
Today, Rekha Gupta, the chief minister of Delhi, is expected to introduce the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, which would give ₹2,500 to women from Delhi's economically disadvantaged communities. The plan was one of the BJP's main election pledges in the Delhi assembly elections.
The plan may be revealed at a Mahila Diwas event held at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in honor of International Women's Day. Women living in Delhi between the ages of 18 and 60 who do not pay taxes and whose family income is less than ₹3 lakh annually are eligible for the Mahil Samriddhi Yojana.
The Mahil Samriddhi Yojana is available to Delhi women between the ages of 18 and 60 who do not pay taxes and whose family makes less than ₹3 lakh per year. The Delhi government is in the process of creating an online platform that will be used to register for the program. The IT department will be developing a separate piece of software in addition to the registration portal to validate information on forms and determine who is eligible for the program.
