Indian Navy demonstrates ‘readiness for offensive strike’ with missile test | Watch

Following the Pahalgam terror attack, tensions between India and Pakistan rose, and the Indian Navy successfully fired multiple anti-ship missiles in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating its long-range precision strike capabilities. The Indian Navy released images of BrahMos anti-ship and anti-surface cruise missiles being launched from a fleet of warships, including Kolkata-class destroyers and Nilgiri and Krivak-class frigates, demonstrating the Navy's operational prowess. The drills were designed to revalidate the platforms, systems, and personnel for precision offensive operations at sea.

"Indian Navy ships successfully conducted repeated anti-ship firings to revalidate and demonstrate the preparedness of platforms, systems, and personnel for long-range precision offensive strikes. The Indian Navy is combat-ready, credible, and future-ready to protect the country's maritime interests at anytime, anywhere, and in any way, according to a post on X (previously Twitter).

The successful drills came just after Pakistan announced impending missile launches in the Arabian Sea region, sparking concerns about escalating military posturing. India's demonstration of maritime strength comes after the April 22 terror incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which killed 26 people and was one of the bloodiest since Article 370 was repealed.
