Your favourite Apple iPhones could get costlier by 43% due to Trump tariffs

US President Donald Trump's sweeping reciprocal tariffs, which include a 10% baseline fee on all imports and a country-specific rate, may significantly change international trade. Consumer items like iPhones would be among the most severely affected.

Every year, Apple sells around 220 million iPhones. The United States, China, Europe, and India—a market that is expanding—are its largest markets. Apple continues to manufacture the majority of its devices in China, which has been hammered by a staggering 54% cumulative tariff rate thus far, despite a growing production base in India.

Analysts pointed out that the business has two options: either absorb the expense or transfer it to the final customer. According to the source, if Apple chooses to pass on the cost of tariff hikes to customers, the prices of the majority of iPhone models might rise by 30–40%.
