LIVE: Oil Prices Surge As Israel-Iran Conflict Heats Up

Israel launched targeted strikes on key Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, including explosions near the underground Fordo nuclear enrichment site, according to Iranian media.

While the Isfahan nuclear facility—home to thousands of scientists and Chinese reactors—was not directly hit, the IAEA confirmed heightened activity in the region.

Iran’s IRNA reported attacks on a radar installation near Tabriz and 11 military sites in East Azerbaijan province, resulting in 18 deaths, including a Red Crescent worker, as per official Majid Farshi.

In a parallel development, Israel detected a missile launch from Yemen, setting off alarms in Jerusalem. A loud explosion followed, likely from interceptor fire. The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have yet to claim responsibility.

Global oil markets responded sharply: Brent crude rose to $74.32 per barrel (+7.15%) and WTI to $72.96 (+7.23%), reflecting fears over Middle East stability.
