Air India offers premium economy tickets at ₹599 above regular economy fares

With beginning fares ₹599 higher than regular economy fares on domestic flights, Air India announced on Wednesday that it was expanding its premium economy offering.

The airline's website stated that the sale of premium economy tickets had doubled over the previous three years, which was the driving force behind the limited-time offer. The sole airline offering this class of seats on domestic flights is the one controlled by the Tata Group. According to the website, it has a weekly allotment of 50,000 premium economy seats, of which 34,000, or 68%, serve important metro to metro connectivity.

In addition to priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, passengers who opt for premium economy on Air India flights to their desired destination enjoy a number of benefits, such as a 32-inch seat pitch, a 4-inch recline, and excellent seat upholstery.
