IT stocks are recovering from yesterday's decline as the stock market opens in a positive manner.

As the trading session began on Thursday, March 13, the stock market opened in the green for the second time this week, with the largest gains coming in IT, telecom, and metal sectors. This comes despite IT stocks falling the most yesterday.

The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 165.41 points, or 0.22 percent, at 74,195.17 at 9.15 am. At 22,502.65, the wider NSE Nifty began the day 32.15 points higher, or 0.14 percent higher.

IndusInd Bank opened at ₹699.95, up 2.23 percent, the highest of the 30 Sensex equities. Next in line were Zomato, up 0.95 percent, trading at ₹207.40, and Tata Steel, up 1.23 percent, trading at ₹152.15. Of the Sensex stocks, only eight were down.
