Sensex, Nifty 50 today: Stock market opens green with IT, telecom, and real estate lead rally

Today's Sensex and Nifty 50: As the trading session got underway on Tuesday, March 25, the stock market opened higher for the second time in a row this week. Real estate, telecom, and IT equities increased the most.

The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 302.34 points, or 0.39 percent, at 78,286.72 at 9.15 a.m. The wider NSE Nifty began trading at 23,751.10, up 92.75 points, or 0.39 percent. UltraTech Cement opened at ₹11,244.45, up 1.75 percent, the highest of the 30 Sensex equities. Next in line were Infosys, up 1.06 percent, trading at ₹1,609, and HCL Technologies, up 1.24 percent, trading at ₹1624.

Out of the Sensex stocks, only four were down. Out of all the Nifty sectoral indexes, the Nifty IT Index increased by 0.96 percent to reach 37,573.45. Nifty Midsmall IT & Telecom followed with an increase of 0.82 percent to 9,377.70 and Nifty Realty with an increase of 0.72 percent to 882.25.
