BJP leader compares Mamata Banerjee with Jinnah over Murshidabad violence: TMC working like Muslim League’

Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tarun Chugh, made fun of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday for the rioting in Murshidabad on the Waqf Bill, likening her to Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. According to Chugh, Banerjee's party was carrying out the Muslim League's tasks, and her image had been solidified as a contemporary Jinnah.

"Mamata Banerjee is doing what Jinnah was doing. Her party is carrying out the Muslim League's tasks, and she is now seen as a modern-day Jinnah. The events of today are similar to what the Muslim League did in the 1940s. The ruling class was blindfolded even at that time, Chugh said ANI.

The BJP spokesman further asserted that the Trinamool Congress government had been consistently jeopardizing the safety of Hindus and denounced the chief minister's silence regarding the deaths of the three individuals in the violent riots. "It is dishonorable, abhorrent, and painful that Mamata Banerjee remained silent throughout the Waqf violence in Murshidabad that claimed three lives. In the pretext of appeasing minorities, the Mamata government has consistently jeopardized Hindu safety," he continued.
