Bomb threat emails received by multiple district collectorates in UP, turn out to be hoax
Lucknow After the buildings were evacuated and thoroughly investigated, a security warning was issued on Wednesday in response to emails alleging that bombs had been hidden in four district collectorate offices in Uttar Pradesh. However, nothing unusual was discovered. Authorities in Firozabad, Aligarh, Barabanki, and Chandauli quickly mobilized bomb disposal units, anti-sabotage inspection teams, dog squads, and local police to the various collectorate grounds after receiving the emails.
According to officials, every building was evacuated and extensively examined. No bombs or suspicious objects were discovered, according to authorities in all four districts. They also said that investigations are underway to find the people who sent the phony emails.
A senior police official in Aligarh informed reporters, "Security personnel arrived at the District Magistrate's office shortly after the email was received and left the area. A comprehensive examination of the entire complex was carried out. The check is still being conducted as a precaution even though no suspicious materials were discovered.
