‘Russia, China can find out if Modi is lying’: Pakistan on Pahalgam attack probe
In a recent interview, Pakistani defense minister Khawaja Asif indicated his wish for Russia, China, and other Western countries to join the probe into the Pahalgam terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir to determine "whether India was telling the truth". Khawaja Asif told the Russian government-run news agency RIA Novosti, "I believe Russia, China, and even Western countries can play a very, very positive role in this crisis, and they can even set up an investigation team that should be assigned this job to investigate whether India or Modi is lying or telling the truth. Allow an international team to find out.
He went on to say that Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had also endorsed the concept of an international investigation, stating that evidence was required to confirm Pakistan's involvement in the heinous terrorist assault.
"Let us find out who is the culprit and perpetrator of this incident in India's Kashmir; words and empty statements have no effect. There must be some evidence that Pakistan is engaged, or that Pakistan helped these individuals. The news agency quoted Pakistan's defence minister as stating, "These are just statements, empty statements, and nothing more."
