‘We threw two-nation theory…’: Farooq Abdullah's big message to Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack
Farooq Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, declared on Monday that the Kashmiris abandoned the two-nation principle in 1947, claiming that the territory will not join Pakistan. The National Conference chairman stated that he was previously in favor of engagement with Pakistan but now wants the union government to take such steps that such assaults do not occur again.
"I always advocated for diplomacy with Pakistan...How will we respond to those who have lost loved ones? Are we doing justice? Not Balakot. "Today, the nation wants such action to be taken so that such attacks do not occur," Abdullah told ANI. When discussing the two-nation principle, Abdullah sent a strong warning to Pakistan. He claimed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir rejected the theory in 1947 and are still unwilling to embrace it today.
"We regret that our neighbour today does not recognize that it has murdered humanity." If they believe that by doing this, we will side with Pakistan, we must correct this misconception. We didn't go with them in 1947, so why would we go now? At the time, we rejected the two-nation thesis. Today, we are also unprepared to accept the two-nation doctrine. We are all one—Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian. "We'll respond appropriately," Abdullah continued.
