Noida man hammers wife to death over suspicion of affair, surrenders before police

According to top cops, a man from Noida, blinded by suspicion, allegedly bludgeoned his wife to death with a hammer at his posh Sector 15 home on Friday afternoon before walking more than two kilometers to the police station to confess to the horrific murder. According to the police, 55-year-old computer engineering graduate Noor-ul-lah Haider believed his wife had an affair.

He allegedly shut their bedroom door, smothered her screams with a pillow, and repeatedly pounded her on the skull with a hammer until she passed out at around midday, following what family members claimed was a nightlong quarrel.

Asma Khan, 42, the victim, was employed by a private company in Sector 62, Noida, as a construction engineer. She shared a two-story home in Sector 15's Block C with her spouse and two kids: 12-year-old Inaya and 19-year-old Samad, who was enrolled in Amity University's BTech program.
